Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookies and similar technologies used by fenixhotel.it, in accordance with the general ruling of the Italian Data Protection Authority on cookies, with Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and with Article 5.3 of the ePrivacy Directive.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your browser, where they are stored and then sent back to those websites on your next visit. They may be “technical” (necessary for the website to work, no consent required) or “profiling/analytics” cookies (which require your explicit consent).
2. Technical cookies (always active)
These require no consent as they are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user:

Consent log
To be able to demonstrate the choices made, as required by Article 7 GDPR, every choice expressed
in the banner (consent, refusal or change from “Cookie preferences”) is recorded in a consent log
kept on the controller's servers. The log contains only: a random anonymous
consent code (the same one stored in the fenix_consent cookie in your browser), the
choice made, the banner version, the page language, whether the choice was made in the first
banner or in “Cookie preferences”, the type of device (smartphone, tablet or computer), and the
date and time. No IP address, browser data or other
data identifying you is recorded. Entries are kept for 12 months and then
deleted automatically; they are also used, in aggregate form, for internal statistics on the
number of consents and refusals. Legal basis: the obligation to demonstrate consent (Art. 7.1
GDPR) and the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
3. Analytics cookies (only with consent)
With your consent the website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to measure visits in aggregate form (pages viewed, traffic source, device type) and improve the website. The tool is loaded through Google Tag Manager.
Blocking is preventive: until you click “Accept” in the banner, neither Google Tag Manager nor Google Analytics is loaded, and no data is sent to Google. If you reject or close the banner, they stay disabled.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. More information in Google's privacy policy and on how Google uses data from partner sites.
On your first visit the banner lets you accept, reject or, with “Customise”, choose category by category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw it, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted. The website uses no profiling or marketing cookies.
4. Third-party cookies triggered by your action
On the Location page, the Google map is replaced by a static preview and is loaded only after an explicit click. From that moment Google may set its own cookies, in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Likewise, the “Book now” button leads to the booking engine provider's website, which applies its own policy.
5. Infrastructure cookies
The website is delivered through Cloudflare, which under certain security conditions (for
example bot verification) may set its own technical cookies (__cf_bm,
cf_clearance) independently of the website configuration. They contain no data that
personally identifies you and serve solely to protect the infrastructure from harmful automated
traffic.
